My journey into photography began in 2013 after finally deciding to invest in a DSLR to up my game, when the ‘point and shoot’ really wasn’t cutting it!
Self taught, with the help of watching countless ‘how to’ YouTube videos and plenty of photography magazines, I have developed a passion for taking photos of the great outdoors.
As a Yorkshire based photographer, I am spoilt for choice here; wedged between the Dales and the North York Moors. I would have to say one of my favourite locations to photograph is Sutton Bank, overlooking Lake Gormire and the white stone cliffs. Although my best-loved subjects are landscapes and nature, I do like a good city/urban shot. You may find be crouching over a puddle in York or Leeds, getting all arty and trying to be a street photographer!
More recently I’ve been exploring the Lake District, hiking and wild camping up the dramatic fells, capturing some amazing sunrises and sunsets.
My style is colourful, but sometimes quite moody, especially if the weather hasn’t played ball and I’m stuck up a hill in the wind and rain!.. though this can be a good thing, creating more of a dramatic photo.
